How security film works
Security film is a thick, clear layer bonded to the inside of the glass. When the glass breaks, the film holds the pieces together. Thicker film is stronger, and an attachment system ties it to the frame.

What happens when you book
Book a visit
Call or send a quote request and tell us about the glass: which rooms or windows, and what you want the film to do.
We come and look at the windows
We come to you, look at the glass and the rooms, and talk you through the films. Then we send you a price.
We fit the film
On the day we protect the floor and furniture under each window, clean the glass and fit the film on the inside.
We check it with you
We look over every window with you and tell you when the film is dry enough to clean.
Have ready: the rooms or windows you want covered, rough sizes or a few photos of them, and a time when we can get to every window.
The film can look a little hazy for a few days while it dries. That is normal. Leave it to dry before cleaning, then use a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia.

Is security film bulletproof?
No. Security film holds broken glass together and slows down a break-in. It does not stop bullets and does not make glass unbreakable.
Can you see security film on the glass?
Hardly. It is clear, so the view and the light stay the same.
Does it stop a break-in?
It slows one down. A window that holds together takes much longer to get through, and the noise and time put most people off.
Can you fit it at home?

What is an attachment system?
A strip that ties the edge of the film to the window frame, so the whole pane holds in its frame when the glass breaks.
