Why tint your car windows in Ladson?

The Lowcountry sun is strong for most of the year. Good film makes every drive easier.

  • A gold Mazda CX-50 with tinted windows on a driveway

    A cooler car

Union film blocks up to 87% of infrared heat, so the cabin and the seats stay cooler in the sun.

  • Close-up of a white BMW’s tinted side windows reflecting the trees

    Less glare

Softer light from low sun and bright headlights, so your eyes work less on every drive.

  • A white GMC Yukon Denali with tinted windows

    More privacy

Darker glass in the back keeps bags, car seats and tools out of sight when you park.

  • A woman reflects while sitting inside a car, looking through the window with a thoughtful expression.

    Blocks UV

99.99% of UV is blocked, which protects your skin and keeps the seats and dash from fading.

How it works

How we tint your car

We tint every side window and the rear glass, or just the windows you choose, in Union Carbon IR or Ceramic IR film and a shade that is legal in South Carolina.

  • Every side window and the rear glass, or just the windows behind the driver
  • A sun strip across the top of the windshield, if you want one
  • Old film taken off first, when there is some
  • Your shade checked against South Carolina law

What decides the price

  1. Your vehicle and how many windows you want tinted
  2. Carbon IR or Ceramic IR film
  3. Whether old film needs to come off first
  4. Extras, like a windshield sun strip

Tell us the year, make and model and we will send you a price.

How to book

What happens when you book

  1. A pearl-white Polestar 2 with tinted windows and a white van on the driveway of a modern home

    Book your appointment

Call or send a quote request with your vehicle’s year, make and model and the windows you want tinted. We agree a day, a time and a place.

  2. A white work van parked on the driveway of a customer’s home

    We come to you

We come to you for mobile window tinting — at home or at work — with everything we need.

  3. Close-up: tinted side glass and its reflection

We clean the glass and fit the film

Each window is cleaned, the film is cut to fit and shaped to the glass. Most cars take between one and five hours.

  4. A silver Honda CR-V with freshly tinted windows on a home’s driveway

    We check it with you

We look over every window with you and explain how to look after the film.

Have ready: your vehicle’s year, make and model, the windows you want tinted, and where the car will be parked on the day.

Keep the windows up for 2 to 4 days. A little haze while the film dries is normal and clears on its own. Clean it with a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia.

Questions

Car window tinting questions

How long does it take to tint my car?

Most cars take between one and five hours, depending on the vehicle and how many windows we tint. Because we come to you, you can carry on with your day while we work.

Do you come to my home or work?

Yes. We tint at your home, your work or another place that suits you, across Ladson, Summerville, Goose Creek, Hanahan, North Charleston and Charleston.

How dark can I tint my car in South Carolina?

On cars, the front side windows, the back side windows and the rear glass must let in at least 27% of light. On SUVs, trucks and vans the front side windows must let in at least 27%, and the windows behind the driver can be any shade. We help you pick a shade that is legal for your vehicle.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

The film’s lifetime warranty covers cracking, bubbling, delamination and fading. If you ever have a problem with the film, call us.

When can I roll my windows down?

Keep them up for 2 to 4 days so the film can dry onto the glass. A little haze or a few water spots while it dries is normal and clears by itself.

Is window film the same as factory tinted glass?

No. Factory tint is a color in the glass and does little about infrared heat. Union film adds UV protection, infrared heat rejection and less glare.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Use a soft, clean cloth and a glass cleaner without ammonia. Never scrape the film with a blade.

Is mobile tinting as good as tinting at a shop?

Yes. Film goes on the inside of the glass, so with the right care it comes out just as clean on your driveway.
